Raavanan Song Review

'Raavanan' totally different kind of album from Rahman.

Veera... Perfect Theme Song for Raavanan !

Kaattu Sirukki... A folk song, where Shankar Mahadevan and Anuradha Sriram as usual have given their best. In a few seconds you will be into the song, with a swaying humming.

Kalvare... Here is a melody by Shreya Goshal, calms you down and you will feel like you are out of this world.

Kedakkari... Powerfull beats with a mix of nadhaswaram which definitely says that this is a folky marriage song. This is also a good song.

Usure Pogudhey... Karthik's voice blend with ARR's music absolutely conveys the deep sorrow, Vairamuthu's lyrics adds even more suffering feel to the song.. I would say that this is the best of the best song in this album..

Kodu Potta... Builds that enthusiasm in you. You will really feel like taking upon anything that comes in your way as an obstacle. The way the song ends, makes you feel like. YEAH ! CUMMON !! I WANNA GO !!!

Rahman has done his magic as expected. As an album it might not interest some people, this may be due to the fact that all songs are based on the story and the situation. But this is a great treat for ARR's fans. I would give 4/5 for 'Raavanan'.

vinnai thandi songu rox!!

wow..would be the first word from the list of synonyms that expresses everyone's amazement ,when it comes to songs from "vinnai thandi varuvaya"!
A.R.RAHAMAN is undoubtedly a genius ,without whose music VTV would have been really empty n goofy .
Definitely, can brag about it as a mouna ragam of my adolescence period .
Its indeed a plethora of different genre of songs.
1."Omana Penne" by Benny Dayal, Kalyani Menon
-the track by kalyani is really nostalgic n pleasent :)
2."Anbil Avan" by Ekhambaram, Chinmayi
-liked the video more than the song..which invokes a feeling which is as permanent as an evaporating spirit ;) wished it was the end of the movie :(
3."Vinnaithaand Varuvaayaa"by Karthik
-by a voice of someone which matches everyone(err...only young everyone's!)
4."Hosanna" by Vijay Prakash, Suzanne D'Mello, Blaaze
-totally superb but felt tat the music at few places was similar to arr's "pray for me brother".
5."Kannukkul Kannai" by Naresh Iyer
-what can i say?? :\ naresh iyer -so nice song!
6."Mannipaaya" by A. R. Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal
-ahh..i feel like crying :( .kindles sadness ..but the starting portion seemed a lil too dramatic.
good idea that they included a kural, this way kids like me will score well in tamil.
7."Aaromale" by Alphons Joseph
-actually this mango guy is a music director it seems!

my favourite is the AROMALE .
album rating- 4.5 on 5
what abt u??
