Ra.One-Just One

OMG...we really are proving our ethnicity ,aren't we??How shrewd can we Indians get??
Data insufficient .NO! sorry i think its 'infinity'.
We can never go insufficient ..never! eg: look at our population n plz check out Ra.One album.
Now you ll know what am taking abt.Yes..ppl. its CHAMMAK CHALLO !!!
Justtt one song ..one song sung by AKON (poor lad) ,has been converted into 4 songs- original,
international, club mix, remix, punjabi mix...so on and so forth ...OMG (again?sorry ,cant control).
But,what ever it is, i dontt care!
**** SRK,
****good dance,
****nice female voice for kareena (by HAMSHIKA IYER)
****and of-course.tamil lines in between the hindi lyrics n the english lyrics(it too seemed like hindi :| )
other song thats pleasant to mention is DILDARA ,which is a proclaimed copy of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" but with
awesome work by the singers Shafqat Amanat Ali,Vishal Dadlani,Clinton Cerejo,Shekar Rajivani .
Ought to say abt one worst song -Criminal n u wouldn't believe it has got a remix version too..(i mean who are they making fun of??
all seems like a hindi remix they play at the pubs in UK)
ok whatever! Vishal-Shekar ! not a bad job !donno how much they paid you ..when half the money went in roping in Akon n buying copy rights.
One thing i wanna say-" SRK babby ,you are so young n cute looking but u dont have the swagger of RK( Rajini Kanth ;) ).
Any ways ...SRK !! will you marry me ?? :P

Lovely ads :)

Its summer and the first thing we remember is servicing our air conditioners for keeping us cool from outside and next first thing we remember is cool drinks, which i generally remember all seasons.
watermelon juice, grape juice, banana juice or whatever,is not what am interested in.SOFT DRINKS is the mantra am chanting here! Morning, noon, after noon, evening, night aint really perturbing my brains agenda and its always ringing "drink ! drink !drink!".
hahaha...i just made that up and the real reason behind y am fiddle-faddling about soft drinks is am fascinated by their ads.Especially the ones by Coca-Cola and LIMCA(which also comes under Cocacola).
these ads are so popular for their breezy numbers and star cast(in case of Cocacola)
or cute cast(in case of limca). And probably their main reason to be back in the market with a bang ,with competitors like pepsi and 7up becoming a lil worried.
Now that doesn't worry me .Am just so smitten by the limca & coke ads of 2009 n 2010.
Ads do really bring up sales and good ads like these bring day dreams ,ofcourse not with you and me in it !! lol !
whats the ad that's fueling you this season??

Raavanan Song Review

'Raavanan' totally different kind of album from Rahman.

Veera... Perfect Theme Song for Raavanan !

Kaattu Sirukki... A folk song, where Shankar Mahadevan and Anuradha Sriram as usual have given their best. In a few seconds you will be into the song, with a swaying humming.

Kalvare... Here is a melody by Shreya Goshal, calms you down and you will feel like you are out of this world.

Kedakkari... Powerfull beats with a mix of nadhaswaram which definitely says that this is a folky marriage song. This is also a good song.

Usure Pogudhey... Karthik's voice blend with ARR's music absolutely conveys the deep sorrow, Vairamuthu's lyrics adds even more suffering feel to the song.. I would say that this is the best of the best song in this album..

Kodu Potta... Builds that enthusiasm in you. You will really feel like taking upon anything that comes in your way as an obstacle. The way the song ends, makes you feel like. YEAH ! CUMMON !! I WANNA GO !!!

Rahman has done his magic as expected. As an album it might not interest some people, this may be due to the fact that all songs are based on the story and the situation. But this is a great treat for ARR's fans. I would give 4/5 for 'Raavanan'.

vinnai thandi songu rox!!

wow..would be the first word from the list of synonyms that expresses everyone's amazement ,when it comes to songs from "vinnai thandi varuvaya"!
A.R.RAHAMAN is undoubtedly a genius ,without whose music VTV would have been really empty n goofy .
Definitely, can brag about it as a mouna ragam of my adolescence period .
Its indeed a plethora of different genre of songs.
1."Omana Penne" by Benny Dayal, Kalyani Menon
-the track by kalyani is really nostalgic n pleasent :)
2."Anbil Avan" by Ekhambaram, Chinmayi
-liked the video more than the song..which invokes a feeling which is as permanent as an evaporating spirit ;) wished it was the end of the movie :(
3."Vinnaithaand Varuvaayaa"by Karthik
-by a voice of someone which matches everyone(err...only young everyone's!)
4."Hosanna" by Vijay Prakash, Suzanne D'Mello, Blaaze
-totally superb but felt tat the music at few places was similar to arr's "pray for me brother".
5."Kannukkul Kannai" by Naresh Iyer
-what can i say?? :\ naresh iyer -so nice song!
6."Mannipaaya" by A. R. Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal
-ahh..i feel like crying :( .kindles sadness ..but the starting portion seemed a lil too dramatic.
good idea that they included a kural, this way kids like me will score well in tamil.
7."Aaromale" by Alphons Joseph
-actually this mango guy is a music director it seems!

my favourite is the AROMALE .
album rating- 4.5 on 5
what abt u??

AADHAVAN

yet again i get to write a songs review for another surya film. hmmmm....it sometimes makes me think that suryas romantic acclaim could solely be bcos of the songs featuring in his film!
this time its aadhavan.with melodious n romantic music at the backdrop ,those silky voices have created a magic again.
My favorite pick would be hasili fisili n yeno yeno, even though varayo varayo n dhamakku dham were equally good!
the rap by dr.brown literally gives a good start to hasili fisili sung by karthik and harini (my only dislike being those hummings or whatsoever by maya)
ho god !! i cant just stop listening to yeno yeno ,the male voice is simply mellifluous n it was by some youngster named sahil hada (loved it)i seriously didn't believe when i heard from my friend that two female voices were clubbed together for this song-one was by sudha ragunathan (which i already guessed :D]n wanting to know who the other one was ,i googled to find that it was actress andrea(her malai neram is awesome n needs a thumbs up). but y has bombay jayashree replaced by sudha?? :(...

benny dayal has rendered a good number. unnikrishnans comeback is appreciable.:)
dheko dheko was good to listen, peppy one!!(by suvi, sandhya n sri charan)
one song which i would give a thumbs down would be- masi masi,i guess it was a lil not so listenable.
i would give a 4 on 5 for this album.

Delhi 6

Delhi 6!! AR Rahaman music!
wow,i couldn't resist but download the songs ...abhi is really youthful n sonams really chick. But wait there! ..this moviez song's are not upto the the expectations n its boringly melodious..except for few really good songs like this song "masakali", its really superb n different(the rs.13000/day dove adds to the beauty of its video).
"gendha pool" though initially sounds a little like some desi classical, but it rocks after when the upbeat western music is mixed with it.
"arziyan" is pleasent but its extremely long in the audio-only-album(9 min) ,but donno how its gonna b in the film.
The title song "hey delhi merey yaar " is good n fast moving, sounds pleasent n mixing those latino like music in between is not bad.hey
"kaala bhandar" is really not a impressive number..very bad in fact.
"dil mera daftaan"(sung by rahaman) is really so melodious but gets boring very soon.
"bhor bhaye"- wondering if its a song from those really old black n white hindi movie...but good to listen for those who r in search of some peace- the classical way!!
on the whole i would like to give only 2.5/5 for Delhi 6 songs..no biasing from my part for ARR this time.
come on!it could have been a little better.
melodious songs r dominating a lot in this film..which would definitely not be impressive among the gen Y.
but masakali...is really brilliant!!(atleast one peppy song to rejoice with!)
